Three-time Tony Award-winning production The Secret Garden will be showing at the Alban Arena in St Albans next week.
Starring St Albans’ very own rising star, Finlay Banks, The Secret Garden tells the classic tale of orphan Mary Lennox and her uncle’s mysterious and entrancing garden.
It premiered on Broadway in 1991, where it ran for 709 performances and received three Tony Awards and two Drama Desk Awards.
A new production by the Royal Shakespeare Company subsequently opened in Stratford in 2000, before transferring to the Aldwych Theatre in the West End in 2001.
Following a successful run at the King’s Head Theatre, Islington, in February 2013, this special concert staging is now on a limited six-date UK tour.
With beautiful classical music and a talented West End cast, this show is perfect for fans of classic literature, musical theatre and good, old fashioned story telling.
See it at the Alban Arena on Thursday, October 31 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £16.50, with concessions £1.50 off.
