Classic Ibiza with Ministry of Sound will take place in the grounds of Hatfield House for the first time on Saturday, September 1.

And if you are one of the thousands of people set to attend the outdoor concert, you will be able to vote for a track to be added to the set list.

A shortlist of the songs will be published on Classic Ibiza’s Facebook page on Good Friday, March 30, with the winning tracks being announced on Monday, April 9.

Stephen Hussey, founder and conductor of the Urban Soul Orchestra (USO), said: “Truly memorable live performances, whether you’re a performer or a punter, are those that create a magical connection between the musicians and the audience.

“It’s difficult to put your finger on exactly what it is, but when it happens there’s an unseen power that energises everybody involved and you are guaranteed of a night to remember.

“This is what the Classic Ibiza crowd can expect and by giving them the opportunity to vote for their favourite tracks to be included in the set-list, we’re adding a bit of extra spice to an already heady mix.”

Performed by the USO, DJ Goldierocks and a host of live vocalists, the Classic Ibiza set already includes some of the most iconic dance tunes dating back to the 1990s.

The evening starts with a chill-out set where people can enjoy their picnics and a drink, or dance along as the sun fades.

DJ Goldierocks, aka Sam Hall, will crank things up during the interval, getting the crowd into the mood before the orchestra and vocalists return to the stage to bring a vibrant atmosphere to the summer evening.

One classic dance track will follow another, as the delightful setting of Hatfield Park turns into a magical, al fresco celebration, with accompanying lasers.

USO has performed and recorded with a veritable who’s who in the dance music industry, including Nightmares On Wax, Groove Armada, Ultra Naté, Octave One, Full Intention, Soul II Soul, Robert Miles, Sonique and Spiller.

This is the second year that Classic Ibiza audience members have been able to vote for their favourite tracks to be added to the programme.

The winners of last year’s poll were Show Me Love (Robin S), Rhythm Is A Dancer (Snap), You Don’t Know Me (Armand Van Helden), Let Me Be Your Fantasy (Baby D) and Call On Me (Eric Prydz).

In late February, concert organisers at Revival Productions posted an initial shout-out to their Facebook followers asking what tunes they would like to see performed on the evening.

It’s not too late to put forward your suggestions.

On March 30, to coincide with the Easter holiday weekend, a shortlist of the most popular tracks will be published on Facebook (@ClassicIbiza).
