Movie The Favourite, which was largely filmed in Hatfield, has secured a stack of Oscar nominations.
Yorgos Lanthimos’ dark period comedy drama was mostly shot on location at Hatfield House in the spring of 2017.
It has now won Oscar nominations for best picture, actress, supporting actress, director and screenplay for the 91st Academy Awards. In total, the film made in Hatfield has 10 Oscar nods.

In the Best Picture award, The Favourite is up against A Star Is Born, BlacKkKlansman, superhero movie Black Panther, Bohemian Rhapsody, Green Book, Roma and Vice.
Having already won at the Golden Globes, Olivia Colman is nominated for an Oscar in the best actress category for her role as Queen Anne.
The Broadchurch and Peep Show star was revealed as one of the nominees at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California, alongside Roma’s Yalitza Aparicio, Glenn Close, Lady Gaga and Melissa McCarthy.
Colman’s Favourite co-stars Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz are also nominated in the supporting actress section.
Rachel Weisz plays Queen Anne’s favourite, Sarah Churchill, the Duchess of Marlborough.

La La Land Oscar winner Emma Stone plays ambitious servant Abigail who vies with her cousin Sarah for the Queen’s affections.
Stone and Weisz face competition for the gong from Amy Adams, Marina de Tavira and Regina King.
Director Yorgos Lanthimos has been shortlisted for an Oscar.
Robbie Ryan’s stunning cinematography, which captures Hatfield House and the Hertfordshire stately home’s estate in all its glory, has also been recognised with an Academy Award nomination.
A statement on Hatfield House’s website says: “Approximately 85% of the film was shot at Hatfield House and we are delighted with how stunning Hatfield looks in the multiple scenes.”
The Favourite screenplay by Deborah Davis and Tony McNamara is nominated in the original screenplay section.
The movie’s Sandy Powell has won a costume design nomination, and is up against herself in the category for Mary Poppins Returns.
The Favourite is also in the running for a film editing Oscar.
It is up against Black Panther, First Man, Mary Poppins Returns and Roma for the production design award.
