The video for Jonas Brothers’ new single Sucker was filmed in Hatfield.
Brothers Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas returned to the pop scene on March 1 with the release of comeback track Sucker.
It is the American trio’s first record together in six years.
The entire music video for the Jonas Brother single Sucker was filmed at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire.
Jonas Brothers tweeted: “#SuckerVideo is officially out! We really had the best time shooting this video in England with our family. Hope you guys love it. Feels good to be back http://JonasBrothers.lnk.to/sucker/youtube”
Sarah Cardall-Spawforth, senior operations manager at Hatfield House, said: “The filming for the Jonas Brothers promo video Sucker took place in mid-February and over an entire weekend.
“It was both an exciting and challenging project to be involved in and one that we are proud to have been a part of.”
She told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “It was a fast-paced project that required the involvement of many of the Hatfield House team to ensure that priceless items of furniture and artwork were moved safely and protected.

“Our team of House guides, visitor advisors and the buildings team were on duty in the House & Gardens throughout the entire ‘prep’, ‘shoot’ and ‘strike’ period.
“Fortunately the English winter weather was on the side of the Jonas Brothers, director Anthony Mandler and crew as the sun shone for the majority of the filming that took place outside, although it was still a little chilly!”
Rooms used in the Jo Bro’s video shoot include Hatfield House’s magnificent Marble Hall with its chequered black and white flooring, the Armoury where there’s some fencing action going on between the brothers, the Long Gallery and the Library.
The film crew also shot scenes on location in the stately home’s beautiful West Gardens, with the band members and their leading ladies enjoying a mad tea party and also seen in bathtubs dotted around the fountain with the Old Palace in the background.
As well as the three Jonas siblings, the extravagant video stars Quantico and Baywatch actress Priyanka Chopra, who is married to Nick Jonas, Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones and is engaged to Joe Jonas, and American reality television personality Danielle Jonas, of Married to Jonas fame.
Indian superstar and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra is seen walking down the Long Gallery, with its distinctive gold ceiling, in the promo, while the band perform Sucker in the Marble Hall in front of the famous Rainbow Portrait of Queen Elizabeth I.
There’s also a banqueting sequence shot in the King James Drawing Room, which features the Ermine portrait of Elizabeth I.
Despite only being premiered on February 28, the original video for Sucker has already had more than 46million views on YouTube.
The threesome last night (March 4) also unveiled an extended director’s cut of the Sucker video with more footage of the Hatfield House estate from the air and of the candlelit dinner party scene.
Hatfield House posted on its Twitter feed: “Another incredible filming project we are proud to have been a part of #hatfieldhouse #filmlocation #marblehall #newmusicvideo #jonasbrothers @jonasbrothers”
It is further worldwide exposure for the Hatfield tourist attraction after Golden Globe-winning movie The Favourite – starring Academy Award winner Olivia Colman and Oscar nominated co-stars Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone – was also filmed at Lord Salisbury’s home.
The colourful video for Sucker has a few nods to Hatfield House’s royal connections – the estate’s Old Palace was the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I – and there’s a hint of The Favourite about the promo, too.
Danielle Jonas, who is married to the group’s Kevin Jonas, is shown walking some corgis alongside the pleached lime walk in Hatfield House’s West Gardens in a pink dress.
Like Yorgos Lanthimos’ dark period comedy drama The Favourite, the Jonas Brothers video for Sucker features lots of rabbits in Hatfield House.
Olivia Colman’s Queen Anne had 17 bunnies in The Favourite.
The video starts with an aerial shot of a yellow car driving north through the deer park towards the South Front of Hatfield House, a scene similar to one in Ridley Scott thriller All The Money In the World, which was also filmed on location in Hatfield.
The Favourite also features a horse-drawn carriage approaching the South Front along the same road, with Emma Stone’s character in the film, Abigail, one of the passengers.
Hatfield House features on the cover of Sucker, with the three brothers pictured in colourful attire in front of the mansion’s South Front, which is decked out with dozens of balloons.
The Jacobean house is also on the home page of the Jonas Brothers’ website jonasbrothers.com
Jonas Brothers are not the first group to film a music video at Hatfield House.
The video for Robbie Williams single Party Like A Russian was shot on location at Hatfield House a few years ago, while back in the 1980s Adam & The Ants’ Stand And Deliver video was also filmed there.
If you want to follow in the footsteps of the Jonas Brothers, Hatfield House opens for the 2019 visitor season on Saturday, April 6.
