There were plenty of goals for the teams of Potters Bar and some good wins too.

The ladies were on the road again for another long away trip, and this time they returned successful, beating Bedford 4-1.

Nikki Hughes got two of them with one each for Sam Lemmon and Kate Fitton.

The men's first-team are still looking for their first win of the Division One South season, despite dominating considerable periods of their game against fifth-placed Harpenden.

However, a costly 10-minute period either side of half time resulted in a 3-2 loss, James Brooking and Adam Croutear getting the goals.

The seconds had an awful afternoon, with four separate hamstring injuries before half-time just salt in the wound of a 15-1 loss at Hertford.

The one ray of light was Warren Edmondson's goal.

That leaves them ninth in Division Three South West, five places behind their own third team who picked up a 6-1 success over Harpenden.

Aryan Walia got four of them with the other two from Nani Reddy.

The fourths kept their unbeaten run going by beating Royston 1-0, Gabriel Banzuelo bagging the only goal.

Over at Welwyn Garden City, the men made it four wins form the last six games with a 2-1 success away to Letchworth, their second in a row.

The early stages saw Welwyn pushing hard with a threatening long ball from Paul Marchant just inches away from giving Welwyn the lead.

Nate McIntyre, Rob Sansom and Marchant were unlucky not to score too but, although Letchworth did have some possession, it always looked like Welwyn would get their noses in front.

So it proved when a strong shot from David Allmand-Smith got pushed in by Dan Hatt to give Welwyn the lead.

They didn't sit on that though and continued to apply pressure high up the pitch, usually thanks to long aerials from Bryn Evans.

And it was from another bomb forward that McIntyre picked up the ball on the right.

He went past a couple of defenders with a bit of skill and although his first shot was saved, the ball popped up in the air and it volleyed it into the bottom corner for 2-0 at the break.

Letchworth were much better in the second half, winning a huge amount of short corners.

Welwyn did defend well for a good period but a goal was always coming and it did with a dribble into the D and smart finish.

Dan Klinger was then called into action to prevent any equaliser and with more solid defence, they held out for the three points.

The ladies, however, had a difficult afternoon, losing 6-0 at home to Berkhamsted & Hemel Hempstead.
