Wind is pretty crucial when you are a sailing club and although some was forecast, the latest races at Welwyn Garden City did not have a lot of it.
David Lambert and Mike Caddy opened up a clear lead when there was some wind in the early stages of race one.
As the wind dropped to almost nothing, positions remained unchanged until Lambert chose the slightly favoured side of the lake to win.
Annette Walter, with her young daughter on board, held on to third place, well ahead of Charles Adams.
Lambert steadily developed a big lead in race two, finishing more than 10 minutes ahead of Walter, beating Caddy by a few seconds on boat handicap.
Adams was again fourth.
