The latest round of races at Welwyn Garden City Sailing Club was just about as perfect as you could get.

With hardly any gusts or dead zones, there was fierce competition for the top spot.

Charles Adams needed to keep the faster boat of David Lambert from getting away so he could win on handicap.

In the first race it looked as though Lambert would prevail but he had to settle for second place behind the club commodore.

Adams kept Lambert close until well into the second race too, winning this time more comfortably.

Further back Mike Caddy was able to bag third place in race one while Mike Dilks had a good day, finishing ahead of his son Matthew in both races.
