There are new captains for the coming year at Brookmans Park Golf Club.
One of the most important parts of the club's annual general meeting is the formal election of the new club and ladies' captains, with Robin Buxton and Sheila Langley unanimously elected to the roles.
Both have served as vice captains for the previous 12 months.
In his acceptance speech Buxton praised outgoing skipper Mike Williams for his "great leadership throughout the previous 12 months" and was grateful for all he had learned in his role as vice captain.
He is looking forward to his year as captain and already has an extensive list of new and exciting activities planned to further enhance the golfing and social experience for all club members.
He will be supported throughout his tenure by new vice captain John Dewberry.
Langley also thanked current ladies' captain Lesley Hewitt for all her hard work, a post she had filled for the second time.
She will be assisted by newly-elected ladies' vice captain Emma Kight, with the quartet in charge set to work closely together for the betterment of the club.
A spokesman for Brookmans Park GC said: "With all the planned developments around the clubhouse and the course, this is certainly going to be a very rewarding time for Robin and Sheila.
"With the steady influx of new members over the past 12 months, the club is now approaching the maximum number for membership, all of whom have the benefit of playing one of Hertfordshire’s premier and challenging golf courses."
