One of Brookmans Park Golf Club's oldest competitions was given perfect weather conditions - and the field did not disappoint.
The Alan Covington Trophy is a mixed competition and had dry conditions and fast running fairways.
And as expected, there were always going to be some very competitive scores posted by the 18 mixed pairs.
This event is one of the golf club’s major mixed trophy competitions and is competed for on an annual basis.
This year’s winners, with a nett score of 64, seven shots under par, were husband and wife team John and Sue Moore.
In second place, two shots back, were Lynette Mapp and Alistair Hunter and third were another husband and wife team, Barry and Hazel Duncombe.
A spokesman for the club: "All the competitors sat down to an excellent post match meal and the prizes were presented by ladies' captain Lesley Hewitt to applause from all the competitors."
