Welwyn Garden City will be short on home games in the opening month of the season following the release of the Southern League Division One Central season.

They begin on the road at newly-promoted Leverstock Green and their second league match, coming on Saturday of the bank holiday weekend, is also away, at Berkhamsted.

Their first game at Herns Lane is on the Monday with Northwood the visitors.

The Citizens also have away games in both the FA Cup and FA Trophy which means in total, with just five league games in the first two months, they are at the Pexhurst Stadium just twice, Enfield on September 28 the other one.

The Christmas fixtures start with a home game against Barton Rovers on December 21 while Hadley are the visitors on Boxing Day.

New Year's Day sees the return match against Northwood.

Non League Day is on March 22 with WGC away to Leighton Town.

Easter should prove crucial this year as it falls on the penultimate weekend.

Welwyn start at home to Ware before going to Hadley on Easter Monday.

The final day of the season on April 26 puts Marc Weatherstone's men at home to Kidlington.
