A challenging wind was just one of the problems the fleet at Welwyn Garden City Sailing Club.
Sailors found Stanborough Lakes breezy for their latest round of races but Dave Lambert was quick to find the key to success as he stormed to overall victory, well ahead of the rest in both races.
Angelo Hansen stayed well ahead of the slow fleet but behind him there were many changes towards the end of race one.
Mike Dilks picked up a favourable gust which took him past Charles Adams to finish second, just ahead of Matthew Dilks.
In race two the tables were turned with Adams finishing a few seconds ahead of Dilks.
Further back in this fleet, Paul Lohr had his first outing in his restored Mirror and improved in race two to record a fourth place.
With exams behind him, Parnay Chawla was back sailing and secured a sixth and fifth.
