It was a memorable day for two of Potters Bar's teams - as they both won by 10 wickets.

The seconds defeated Kings Langley in Division Two B, bowling the visitors out for 69 before knocking off the required runs inside eight overs.

Sakuntha Premarathne took a wonderful 6-13 before Ben Taylor (25) and Dan Millard (43) took them to the win.

Up in the Premier Division, the first team stormed to the same margin of victory at Shenley Village, but by scoring 169 without loss.

Bar skipper Luke Chapman put the home side in on a pitch suited to seamers and got an instant reward, Jigar Mehta crashing a ball into the stumps of dangerman Charles Thurston.

He almost got a second on ball two as well, the lbw shout though going unheeded.

However, he was successful in his next over to leave Shenley on 3-2.

England Deaf cricketer Umesh Valjee and Nish Selvakumar tried to knock it around and it got them up to 62-3 and seemingly through the worst of the storm.

But the introduction of Callum Lloyd saw him take three wickets in two overs and leave the hosts at 66-6.

In the end only a last-wicket stand of 59 in 48 balls gave the Village side a final total of 168-9.

Lloyd finished on 3-33 while Mehta got 2-42. Thilan Walallawita chipped in with 2-34.

Steve Gale and James Seward then steered Bar to a comfortable success with the only real pressure coming early as runs ticked up slowly.

Both men put the bad ball away and got it to 60-0 at tea after 20 overs and then accelerated past 100 and beyond the target with 116 balls remaining.

Seward was the top scorer, getting 90, while Gale managed 68.

The win has Potters Bar in second, 15 points behind leaders Harpenden and 24 ahead of North Mymms.

Mymms solidified their position with a three-wicket win over West Herts, the fourth-placed side.

The Watford-based hosts batted first on winning the toss and got eight of their batsmen into double figures.

Unfortunately for them, only two went beyond 20, opener Alistair Lewis getting 25 and Cole Seggery with 76.

It left them all out for 188, Dharmarajsinh Jhala leading the way for Mymms with 5-41 while Yuvresh Malhotra managed 3-29.

The reply was slow and the visitors were 34-3 in the 11th over.

Ethan Frankle calmed things down and would go on to make 57, departing in the 38th over with Mymms on 120-6.

Malhotra went a few balls later but the pair of William Jones (46*) and Jhala (30*) eased Mymms home in the 56th over.

Old Owens are at the other end of the table, second from bottom, having lost by 130 runs to the league leaders.

Harpenden got 271 with Jake Wickham grabbing 3-68 for Owens but their batsmen could not do enough to get them close to winning.

Rhys Carter was their top scorer with 37 but he was last man out as Owens finished on 141.
