Bowls clubs found rain showers against them this week but they were still able to get plenty of games in.
Datchworth beat Hertford in the County Men’s Club Championship at home, winning 53-45.
Two of the three rinks brought a win, the other a draw.
Daniel Williams, Phil Holzbauer, Terry Metcalf and Steve Arnold dropped two shots on the last two ends but hung on for a 16-15 success.
There was less worry though for Alfie Williams, Maurice Gordon, Keith Smith and Derek Henley as they eased to a 19-12 victory.
Dickie Jackson, Phil Berry, Steve Chamberlain and Peter Hills had led 10-1 and 18-11 but lost the final three ends to draw 18-18
The Blues beat Ware Maltsters 33-19 with the best of the two winning rinks being Dickie Jackson, Les Parsley and Derek Henley's 19-8 triumph.
And the wins kept coming as Welwyn Garden City Crusaders were beaten 46-30 at Turkey Farm in the Welwyn Hatfield League.
Again it was a clean sweep of rink wins with Jack Harper, Barbara Williams and Clyde Martindill edging the top honours with their 22-12 success.
The Golds though lost 38-30 in East Herts League Division Two at home to Cheshunt.
The two rinks were shared with Datchworth's win coming from Andy Short, Dave Castle and Clyde Martindill 18-14.
And the club's losing streak in the Stevenage Mixed League continued as they were beaten twice, first 71-34 at home to St Ippolytts and then 55-41 at Three Horseshoes.
Both games saw all three rinks go against Datchworth, the closest coming in the latter.
Lucy Williams, Sue Ellis, Keith Smith and Steve Arnold had trailed for most of the game until pulling level at 14-14 with two ends to play.
They dropped two shots on the first of them and could only pull one back on the last to lose 16-15.
In friendlies, Datchworth lost 74-57 at home to Hitchin, the one winning rink being a 21-10 success for Jack Harper, Nicki Berry and Keith Smith, but another home match against Standon & Puckeridge brought a 54-41 win.
This time two of the three rinks won, the top one being Howard Carrick, Jan Smith and Maurice Gordon, 19-11.
There was Welwyn Hatfield League success for Shire Park's Yellow team as they recorded a big win at home to Sele Farm.
They won 49-13 overall after the two rinks played, claiming the maximum six points with one rink roaring to a 31-3 victory.
The Green's were not as fortunate though, leaving with just two points after a home defeat to Welwyn Wanderers.
They came courtesy of Sue Venables, Angus Mullin and skip Paul Ashwell with a 19-13 success.
However, the 10-shot loss on the other rink meant an overall 39-35 reverse.
Another home loss, this one to North Mymms, returned zero points.
In the Welwyn Hatfield pairs, David Williams and Gus Edwards beat Dave Cooper and Eli Davies form Welwyn Garden City Knights 18-13 but fixture congestion meant Shire Park had to conceded their matches in the SADBA mixed fours and pairs.
Confusion over the venue for a friendly against Rosedale meant Shire Park eventually travelled short and had to be loaned four players.
And they returned on the back of an 88-65 defeat although Park's top rink, with a 19-10 win, was the only one with three Shire Park players and included new bowler Shirley Tiffin.
