The Boxing Day sales is not just confined to shops and retailers with Potters Bar Town Football Club also slashing their prices - as well as supporting charity.
The Scholars have announced that their Boxing Day fixture at home to derby rivals Wingate & Finchley will see discounted tickets in partnership with Age UK Hertfordshire.
Adults will be able to watch the Isthmian League Premier Division game for £7.50 while concessions, over 65s and students, will gain entry for £5 and U16 children for just £1.
Kick-off is at 1pm and tickets are purchasable at the turnstile only, where cash and card payments are both accepted.
Donation buckets will also be dotted around the Lantern Stadium for collection too in aid of the charity who look to promote the wellbeing of all older people and their carers within the county.
Specifically within Potters Bar area in 2023, AUKH supported over 300 older people making a huge difference to their lives, especially alleviating their feelings of isolation and vulnerability.
Age UK data in 2019 shows that 330,000 older people in Britain spend Christmas alone.
A spokesman for the club said: "Our huge reduction in ticket prices for concessions aims to provide fans with cost friendly, local football over the Christmas period."
Before that, the Scholars are at home to Horsham on Tuesday, December 19, kick-off at 7.45pm.
