Come and try rugby is the message from Hatfield QE Rugby Club ahead of the new season - as they launch taster sessions.
The Roe Hill Hall-based rugby union club are offering the free events to try and attract those who have not played for years or since school.
That is on top of anyone who is completely new to the sport.
The sessions for all abilities have already begun on Thursday nights up at their Briars Lane pitches are they are currently light and fun and featuring a lot of touch rugby games.
These will continue until August 10 when pre-season begins but even here, the club has decided that the first two full sessions will also be free with no commitment for anyone to sign up to play.
Coach Richard Fisher is keen for as many new players as possible to come along.
He said: "It’s a great way to start your Hatfield rugby journey, meet the team, make new friends and improve your fitness and skills in a fun environment."
Fellow coach, Jake Tibble, added: "We’re a fantastic community club and the only rugby team in Hatfield.
"Even if you’ve never picked up a rugby ball before, you’re more than welcome to join in.
"We want the club to be an integral part of Hatfield."
The sessions begin at 7pm and for any further information, call or text the club on 07487 517 368.
