A swimmer from Hatfield has proven you are never too old to make your mark in sport.
Chris Dunn, who trains and competes for Hatfield Swimming Club, travelled to Sheffield for the British Masters Long Course Championships and returned with a whopping five gold medals.
Swimming in the 75-79 age group, he took top honours in the freestyle events over 50m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m.
His crowning achievement though came in the shortest of them, clocking 30.11 seconds to smash the British and European age group records.
That means he now holds the British and European records in every distance, a feat he also achieved while in the 65-69 and 70-74 groups with some of them still standing.
In his current age group, Dunn also holds British records in the 100m and 200m backstroke as well as the 200m and 400m individual medley events.
A spokeswoman for Hatfield Swimming Club said: "Chris is an inspiration to us all and clearly loves the sport.
"It's great to see him achieving great things as a masters swimmer and show the younger members that swimming can be a sport done for life not just when you are young.!
