The string of good results for Brookmans Park Golf Club continued with a fantastic county success for one of their talented youngsters.
Junior member Charlie Davies was victorious in the Hertfordshire Schools Mid Handicap competition played at Royston Golf Club.
The 15-year-old was representing Chancellors School and scored 46 points playing off a 19 handicap in the 18-hole stableford event.
He now goes on to the regional final in September where he will be representing Hertfordshire schools against counties from the south east of England.
Davies received his trophy from Mark Knight of Hertfordshire Golf.
A spokesman for the club said: "Charlie started playing golf about 10 years ago after attending the junior sessions on a Sunday.
"He would compete every week for the Chocolate Bar Challenge in those sessions and that is how his love for golf was cemented.
"He is studying GCSE PE which means he has to choose one team sport and one solo sport to play, so golf and football work well and now the football season is coming to an end, you will find Charlie on the golf course both Saturday and Sunday."
He also represents Chancellors in other sports including rugby, cricket and athletics.
