The youngsters of Welwyn Garden City Sailing Club were given some big teachable moments as the wind over Stanborough Lakes for their latest round of races proved very unpredictable.
Sailing in light conditions with sudden puffs of breeze is quite challenging for the seniors but with the swirling as well, it made it even more difficult.
But one of them had no such problems.
Angelo Hansen has enjoyed a remarkable run of success of late and he continued that by winning both the pursuit races, the bigger boats just not getting close to him in race one.
David Lambert eventually secured second place after several changes of position with Alan Campbell while Charles Adams was fourth.
It was a bit more of a fight in the second outing with Campbell this time getting within touching distance, but crucially not close enough to pass the flying Hansen.
He settled for second with Lambert in third.
The juniors in the Quba fleet did very well in the light breeze with Pranay Chawla winning ahead of newcomer Matthew Dilks in second.
