Brookmans Park Golf Club have promoted from within with the appointment of Oliver Clark as head greenkeeper at the club.
Oliver Clark had been in the role of deputy greenkeeper but following an extensive recruitment process, which involved a number of external candidates, the powers-that-be at the club decided they had the right man for the job already.
As part of the recruitment process, Clark demonstrated his passion for the club’s course and his readiness to lead the team.
He said: "I am really excited about my new role.
"We have been working on our vision for the golf course for some time and I am looking forward to continuing with our programme and leading the team in preparing the course to be in great condition for the new season."
Club captain Brian Hall added: "Following the extensive drainage and reseeding works undertaken in the past few years, the course is in the best condition it has ever been at this time of the year so it’s a great time for him to be starting his new role."
