The latest round of races at Welwyn Garden City Sailing Club will live long in the memory of Angelo Hansen - as he picked up his first win in the senior ranks.
The junior was first starter in the first pursuit race and the rest of the fleet did not see him again.
And he almost made it a magical double in race two.
This time though he was reeled in before the hooter signalled the chase was over, Alan Campbell who was one of the last to start in the faster Supernova being the man to deprive him on this occasion.
The conditions were perfect for sailing, with the sun out and a good breeze along the length of the lake giving everyone an enjoyable sail.
Hansen though was the undoubted master with his first and second giving him the overall success.
The also rans had mixed fortunes according to how often they were powered by a stronger wind in their part of the lake.
Although second in race one, Charles Adams then had to settle for a fourth in race two.
Dave Lambert collected a fourth and a third while Roger Morse and Sheila Stowe in the double hander were consistent with two fifths.
