Welwyn Garden City Sailing Club got back to normal racing without any worries over ice - and it also saw the club's commodore back in action.
Charles Adams had been missing since damaging his knee in September and he had a fruitful return in race one, coming second to Annette Walter.
The second outing, however, was not so good and not all of that could be attributed to a leak in the boat.
Walter won overall after coming second behind Roger Morse
He could have had a better result overall had he not missed a mark in race one and finished fifth.
He and Dave Lambert were tied for second.
Young star Angelo Hansen ran away with the Wee Auld Mug as the winner of both personal handicap races.
He can expect a much reduced handicap advantage in the next series but the victory is a good sign of progress.
Lambert was runner-up with Morse third.
