Potters Bar Town's new management team have made their first signings - including one from Welwyn Garden City.
The now ex-Citizen is Joe Russell, known to new assistant boss at the Lantern Stadium, Max Mitchell.
The other player joining new boss Lee Protheroe's squad is also a defender, Owen Cochrane moving on a month loan from Stevenage.
Russell's arrival at WGC was prompted by a poor start to their Southern League Division One Central season.
It made a difference as the Citizens, then under the stewardship of Mitchell, climbed into the top half of the table.
He has played for Cheshunt and Haringey Borough in the past.
Full-back Cochrane meanwhile was a surprise name in the starting line-up for Boro when they travelled to Salford City last December.
Injury problems meant he played right-back for 80 minutes in a match that Paul Tisdale's side lost 1-0.
His inclusion came when he was only a first-year scholar, aged 17.
Both are included in the squad to play Margate at home tomorrow (Saturday) although that is subject to a 9am pitch inspection.
