The next generation of talented youngsters coming out of Welwyn Wheelers have been producing some excellent results in the final month of the year.
Leon Atkins powered to his fifth straight win in the U14 boys group of the National Cyclo-cross Trophy, sealing the series win with a round to go.
It came at the Cyclopark in Kent and makes him the red-hot favourite for the national championship on January 8.
Oliver Beale finished fourth in what was his best National Trophy race to date over a challenging course with lots of mud, with sister Isabel also grabbing a best ever finishing position in the series with 13th in the U14 girls' race.
That was the same position as Lucy Allsop in the U16 event, Ellie Mitchinson coming home 18th, Florence Barnett 21st and Elise Whitaker 32nd.
William Pollard was the best of the Welwyn finishers in the U16 boys after numerous incidents and lots or running in his first National Trophy event.
In the junior races Mark Lightfoot finished 12th in the men’s race with Georgina Pasmore 22nd in the women’s category.
