There is a new top dog at Potters Bar Bowls Club after a change in president.
The Walk-based club's AGM saw the baton handed from Jan Southwell, after a two-year term, to new man Steve Hipperson.
He said: "The start of the outdoor bowling season is just a few weeks away and we are very keen to get out on the green, which the green team have worked hard on throughout the winter months."
He also announced that his chosen charity for the coming year will be Headway Hertfordshire which helps and supports victims suffering from brain injuries and their families.
Southwell meanwhile thanked the management committee for making the running of the club so seamless, despite the uncertainty of the pandemic, as well all the members for helping to make his presidency so enjoyable.
Club treasurer Terry Barker was also congratulated on his term as president of Hertfordshire Bowls.
Two open days will help kick-start the new season, with the dates set as April 30th and May 15, and a warm welcome is promised for any new members.
