A new authentic Thai restaurant is set to open in Welwyn Garden City next month.
Lam Nam Moon will be moving into 49 Wigmores North, which has stood empty since the popular Red India Restaurant closed back in August.
No official opening date has been confirmed for the new eatery, but it is expect to welcome customers for the first time in December.
The restaurant will be serving authentic food cooked by Thai chefs, with diners set to "experience the warmth, the flavours, and the hospitality, where every bite tells the story of a cherished Thai tradition".
According to its website, Lam Nam Moon takes it name for the riverside town where the chefs grew up.
"Our chefs originate from this riverside town, where a bustling food market thrives along the banks, illuminated by the soft glow of the moon," the website reads.
"It’s here that they learned the art of cooking, using family recipes passed down through generations.
"Our restaurant’s name reflects both the beauty of the moonlit river and the rich culinary heritage of our chefs’ hometown.
"Each dish we serve, from the fiery Tom Yum Soup to the indulgent Mango Sticky Rice, carries the essence of Thailand’s authentic flavours."
Lam Nam Moon will be open from 12pm to 2.30pm and 5.30pm to 9.30pm from Sunday to Thursday, with hours extended until 10pm on Friday and Saturday.
