Sir Oliver Dowden has visited a school in Potters Bar to mark UK Parliament Week.
The MP for Hertsmere visited Dame Alice Owen’s School to speak to A-level politics students.
He spoke about his experiences in politics and his various roles in government, including his time as Deputy Prime Minister.
Students also had the opportunity to ask the MP questions on pressing political issues and current affairs.
Mr Dowden said: "It was fantastic to celebrate UK Parliament Week by giving a talk to A Level politics students at Dame Alice Owen’s School.
"I thoroughly enjoyed speaking to them about my time in politics and answering their thought-provoking questions.
"It was also great to hear their perspectives on current political issues.
"Getting young people engaged with politics is incredibly important and I am proud that these students in Hertsmere are so well-informed and politically aware."
