No arrests were made but items were seized after police raided a pub in Welwyn Garden City last weekend.
A warrant was executed at the Hollybush, in Hollybush Lane, at around 11am on Saturday (November 23), with a large number of police vehicles and officers at the scene.
Many Welwyn Garden City residents were left wondering what was going on, and now Herts police have confirmed that the raid was carried out as part of an "ongoing investigation", but no one was taken in custody.
"We executed a warrant as part of an ongoing investigation at around 11am on Saturday, November 23," said a spokesperson.
"No arrests were made, but items were seized."
The Welwyn Hatfield Times has reached out to the Hollybush owners Stonegate and Craft Union, but has yet to receive a response.
