Crowds got into the festive spirit as people flocked to the Hatfield Christmas lights switch-on.
This year, the honour of lighting the square was shared by Hatfield Swimming Club's Louise Fiddes, the Paralympic champion who won gold at Paris 2024, and Welwyn Hatfield’s Mayor, Councillor Frank Marsh.
Rising singing star Daisy Pringle performed throughout the day, belting out pop tunes and holiday hits.
There was a whole afternoon of entertainment on the big stage which hosted local acts offering something for everyone, including Electric Umbrella, FK Dance Academy and a children’s entertainer.
Elsewhere, Santa and his elves welcomed little ones into their grotto, handing out some gratefully received gifts.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, roaming street performers entertained attendees throughout the day. Visitors also enjoy browsing market stalls and craft workshops.
