A woman was left with injuries after being "bit on the face" during a dog attack in Welwyn Garden City.
The incident occurred in Bushey Ley Park between 4pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday, October 30, when the victim bent down to tie her shoelaces.
It is reported that a dog quickly approached her and bit her on the face before being pushed off and running away.
The victim required medical treatment for facial injuries.
The dog is described as large black dog, around the size of a Labrador, and the owner was not present throughout the attack.
Officers are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the attack, with PC Anne Lopez, of the Welwyn Garden City Neighbourhood Policing Team, saying: "If you witnessed this incident or have any information about it, please contact me by emailing anne.lopez@herts.police.uk."
