Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is seeking residents' views on a new tree and woodland strategy.
The new strategy sets out the council’s vision for a greener, healthier future for the borough, focusing on the long-term management, conservation and enhancement of trees and woodlands.
A survey has been launched for residents and businesses on the new strategy which covers the period from now to 2029.
Respondents are asked to read the plans before completing the survey, which will be live until Monday, December 20.
The Tree and Woodland Strategy aims to protect vital green spaces, boost biodiversity and address climate challenges by implementing policies for active tree management, urban greening, sustainable planting, and habitat preservation.
WHBC executive member for environment, Councillor Sandreni Bonfante, said: “Action on climate change is a key priority for the council.
"The sustainable management of our trees and woodlands will be essential if together we are going to enhance our green spaces and make a lasting impact on our environment and community’s wellbeing.
"I encourage as many people as possible to review the Tree and Woodland Strategy and share their thoughts through the survey.”
