Six-to-eight-year-olds are invited to join a new children's drama group at the Barn Theatre in Welwyn Garden City.
The Owlets group started recently, led by teacher Kate Humbles, and are rehearsing a short play called Dragon Trouble.
There are now five youth groups at the Barn Theatre: Owlets for ages six to eight, Pigwidgeon for ages nine to 11, Hedwig for ages 11 to 13, Errol for ages 13 to 15 and Hermes for ages 16 to 25.
The groups provide an opportunity for young people to have theatre training and gain experience in performance, backstage work and theatre practices and etiquette.
A few places are currently available in Owlets, Pigwidgeon and Hermes.
Anyone interested should contact the Barn youth administrator/director Jacqueline Clayton by email at Jacqueline.clayton@barntheatre.co.uk or visit https://www.barntheatre.co.uk/youth-theatre.

A spokesperson for the Barn Theatre said: "For the younger age groups, the sessions enable the children to grow in confidence and imagination whilst learning all about the skills required to be on stage.
"It is a safe space to have fun and allow the youth members to explore their creativity whilst meeting new friends.
"Home to a lively community which provides endless opportunities on stage and back stage, the Barn Youth groups are the perfect introduction to this theatrical hub, with many members forming life-long connections with the theatre as a result."
