A man who caused "much misery to the local community" has been arrested in Hatfield.
Michael Forbes, 38, of no fixed abode in Welwyn Hatfield, was arrested in St Albans Road West on Tuesday (November 12).
Officers seized a large cleaver, drugs and tools.
Forbes was charged with the possession of an offensive weapon (meat cleaver) and a class C drug (cannabis).
In May, Forbes had been sent to prison after committing multiple crimes in the area. The arrest means that he will now be sent back to prison for breaching the terms of his licence.
Detective Inspector Alexandra Bruzas, who leads the Welwyn Hatfield Local Crime Unit, said: “I hope this result sends a strong message that we do not tolerate repeat offending. Forbes caused much misery to the local community and hopefully residents will be reassured to hear he is back behind bars.
“I would like to thank the constabulary’s Operational Support Group who made the arrest whilst carrying out proactive enquiries. My thanks also go to the Local Crime Unit for securing the remand and ensuring that Forbes is returned to prison.”
