Police community support officers have been visiting older residents.
The officers from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team have been busy heading out to various locations in the borough to offer crime prevention advice and to engage with the community.
On November 11, PCSOs Mark Randall and Shannon Payne went to the Acacia Street retirement complex to conduct a crime prevention surgery during their coffee morning.
On November 8, PCSOs Anne Devine and Casey Phillips attended the OPALS [Older Persons Activity Learning and Safety] event at Friendship House in Hatfield, organised by Hertfordshire County Council.
Other visits included the Jim McDonald Centre in Hatfield on November 7, Minster House sheltered accommodation and the Dementia Friendly Community Café in Digswell on November 5.
PCSO Anne Devine said: "It’s important that we engage with our older members of the community and those that are perhaps more vulnerable.
"Our visits help show them that we care and are here to help."
"The visit to Minster House was particularly special as it was our first time there.
"Our team was made to feel very welcome, and Mark and Shannon intend to make this a regular visit every four weeks or so."
