The hilarious ‘Nativity! The Musical’ will bring some Christmas sparkle to the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar this month.
Potters Bar Theatre Company presents the fun-filled Nativity! The Musical from Wednesday, November 20 to Sunday, November 24.
Directed by Hailey Budd, the musical tells the story of the children and staff of St Bernadette’s School as they attempt to stage their own musical version of the nativity.
However, their teacher, Mr Maddens, has promised that a Hollywood producer is coming to watch the show and turn it into a film.
Audiences will join Mr Maddens, his over-enthusiastic teaching assistant Mr Poppy, the children and Cracker the dog as they try to make everyone’s Christmas wish of performing in their school’s nativity a reality.
Director Hailey Budd said: “It is an absolute pleasure to direct Nativity! The Musical. The script is genuinely very funny, and the songs are great.
"However, working with 30 plus children, a full cast of adults and a dog definitely comes with its challenges!
"There are some lovely moments in the show, and everyone has worked extremely hard to put this together.
"We hope you love it as much as we do.”
With a large cast of talented children and adults, this heart-warming musical is perfect for the whole family and will put you in the Christmas spirit this November.
Performed on the main stage at the Wyllyotts Theatre, the musical runs from November 20 to November 24, at 7.30pm on Wednesday to Saturday, with two matinée performances at 2.30pm on the Saturday and Sunday.
Both matinées are almost sold out, but there is still availability for the evening performances from Wednesday to Saturday.
Producers are offering discounted family tickets on Wednesday and Saturday evenings for two adults and two children, discount applied automatically at checkout if purchasing via Wyllyotts Theatre.
Tickets can be booked via the Wyllyotts Theatre box office on 01707 645005 or the website wyllyottstheatre.co.uk.
