With the festive season just around the corner, the Christmas lights will be going on in Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield very soon.
Here's when you can see the lights switched on in both towns.
Welwyn Garden City
The Christmas Lights Event will be taking place in the town centre between 12pm and 6pm on Saturday, November 16.
Organisers Welwyn Garden City BID are promising a "fun-filled festive day for the whole family to enjoy", there will be a fun fair, Christmas market, food and drink, and live entertainment, with performances from the likes of Immi Davies and Hertfordshire-born rapper FORMZ.
The beloved Christmas Trail is also making a return, with 11 installations across the town centre, and Father Christmas will be making an appearance at the Howard Centre.
Hatfield
The following weekend, Saturday, November 23, will see Hatfield's Christmas lights switch-on, which starts at 2pm.
Hatfield Swimming Club's Louise Fiddes, who won gold at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, and Welwyn Hatfield’s Mayor, councillor Frank Marsh, will be turning on the lights this year.
"White Lion Square will be bustling with entertainment and activities for your whole family to enjoy. Watch live music and dance performances on the Big Stage plus keep an eye out for roaming street entertainers," Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council's website reads.
