Excited fans got the chance to meet Danny Dyer in Hatfield yesterday (November 7), after the star was spotted filming scenes in the town.
Camera crews were spotted at Birchwood Café in Birchwood Avenue on Thursday morning, before moving on to Skippers in The Common to shoot some night-time scenes.
It was quickly confirmed that shots were being captured for the second series of Sky comedy drama Mr Bigstuff, which follows the lives of two estranged brothers played by Dyer and Ryan Sampson, after letters were sent to residents about filming.
"The scenes we are filming involve two of our cast members having a conversation inside the café and then inside the chip shop," the letter read.
Although Dyer's presence on set was unconfirmed, there was still a buzz among fans hoping to meet the Mean Machine and Football Factory actor.
Later that evening, the 47-year-old was spotted inside Skippers, with excited fans flocking to the chippy to catch a glimpse of Dyer.
A lucky few did manage to snap a picture with the EastEnders star as he wrapped up filming and left the takeaway.
It's not the first time Dyer has come to Welwyn Hatfield for filming, after he previously shot dramatic scenes for EastEnders on the derelict Shredded Wheat factory site in Welwyn Garden City.
