A Chinese delegation from Anhui province visited Welwyn Hatfield as part of a four-day UK tour.
The group were given presentations by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council's chief executive, Ka Ng, and communications, marketing, and engagement manager, Michael Sherry.
The presentations focused on the services provided by the council, decision-making processes, and the council's communication and complaints procedures.
Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Councillor Frank Marsh said: "I was delighted to meet the delegation from Anhui province and welcome them to our wonderful borough.
"Their visit was an opportunity for us to share ideas about service delivery and how we engage with our local residents and businesses.
"I know that the delegates found their visit to Welwyn Hatfield very informative and there is no doubt that we learnt a lot from each other."
