A former star of ITV's Dancing on Ice opened a new charity shop in Hitchin town centre on Saturday.
Professional ice skater Frankie Seaman cut the ribbon to officially open the Willow shop in Arcade Walk.
Families attending the event enjoyed a children’s lucky dip and a competition with the chance to win luxury hampers.
Willow, a charity based in Welwyn Garden City, creates bespoke experiences for seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds across the UK.
It was set up in 1999 by former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson and his wife Megs in memory of their daughter, Anna, who died of cancer aged 31.
The new Willow shop in Hitchin will be open seven days a week.
At its grand opening on Saturday, Frankie, who is Willow’s honorary president, said: "It’s an honour to be part of this special day.
"Willow’s shops play a crucial role in raising funds to create memorable experiences for seriously ill young adults.
"I hope the people of Hitchin will support this new shop and help us continue to make a real difference."
Tom Hardy, Hitchin's town centre manager, added: "I’m delighted to welcome Willow to Hitchin.
"This shop not only provides sustainable shopping options, but also supports an incredibly important cause.
"I encourage everyone in our community to support the great work Willow does."
With this latest opening, Willow is calling on people to volunteer their time and donate quality stock. Anyone interested in volunteering opportunities can visit willowfoundation.org.uk/volunteer or ask in store. Donations of clothing, accessories and bric-a-brac can be made at the shop during business hours.
