The winners of a calendar competition have now seen their pictures in the finished product.

The official Hertford 2025 calendar was launched late last week and is now on sale at the Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre.

Over the summer, the public were invited to submit their photographs of Hertford in a competition to be included in the calendar.

There were more than 150 entries with the winners' pictures featuring in next year's calendar.

The judging panel, made up of the Mayor of Hertford, Councillor Rachel Carter, chair of the town council's development and leisure committee, Councillor Ann Woodward, and Hertford-based designer and photographer Paul Crowley, had the challenging task of selecting the winning photos for the cover and each month.

Six photos were also chosen to receive a Mayor’s Commendation.

"Thank you so much to everyone who took part and many congratulations to all our winners and those who received commendation.”

This year’s calendar is A3 sized — folded to A4, landscape — and printed on environmentally friendly, recycled paper.

A launch event took place at historic Hertford Castle on Sunday, October 27 where the deserving winners were all awarded a copy of the calendar and a certificate, signed and presented by the county town's mayor.

The official Hertford 2025 calendar is available to buy at the Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre for £12.50 each and is the perfect gift for Christmas.
