A Welwyn Garden City restaurant has been nominated for the Asian Curry Awards.
The Don, in Cole Green Lane, is hoping to win the Best Restaurant or Takeaway Award after being named as a finalist for the ceremony on Sunday, November 17 at Grosvenor House in London.
The finalists were chosen after the spice-loving public nominated their favourite curry house, with judges from the Asian Catering Federation now set to decide the award winners.
Chairman of the Asian Catering Federation, Yawar Khan, said: "We’re delighted by the number of people who have taken the time to vote for their favourite restaurant this year.
"The standard of finalists is exceptional and we also have some excellent newcomers on the list which is great news for the industry as it continues to flourish in today’s challenging economic climate."
This year will be the 14th edition of the Asian Curry Awards, which is a celebration of the dish from countries across the continent.
