A Pokémon event is set to take place in Hatfield town centre.

The event will be on November 9, from 10am to 4pm and is being hosted by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and BishBashBosh.

It will take place in White Lion Square and at Calamity Comics.

The day will include a Pokémon trading card shop with exclusive merchandise and a free Pokémon GO walking route with in-game rewards.

There will also be trading sessions, a quiz, bingo, a free training academy, and a tournament.

Attendees will receive a Pokémon-themed goodie bag and have the chance to meet Pikachu and Charizard from 10am to 11am and the Pokémon Encounter from 1pm to 1.30pm.

Councillor James Broach, executive member for resources, said: "It is great that such a unique event as this one has come to Hatfield.

"For years, Pokémon has captured the imaginations of people of all ages and this pop-up event offers something for everyone - whether you're a seasoned card trader or just discovering the world of Pokémon.

"It’s a fantastic way to bring the community together for a day of fun and learning.

"We look forward to welcoming fans from across Welwyn Hatfield and beyond."
