Coronation Fountain in Welwyn Garden City has turned pink for the 20th year to mark Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and pharmaceuticals company Roche UK have teamed up for the awareness campaign once again.

“Sadly, my own mother died from breast cancer, so this cause is close to my heart.

“We have been colouring the fountain for 20 years to help raise awareness about this devastating disease and to help support those impacted by it.”

“Each October, the fountain raises awareness of the disease within the local community and serves as a reminder to regularly check for any signs and symptoms of breast cancer. 

“It has been an absolute pleasure again this year.”

The fountain will remain pink until October 31 when it will be returned to being clear.
