A 46-year-old man from Welwyn has been given a community order and told to pay £250 in compensation after assaulting two police officers.
Michael Beaumont, of Wilshere Road, pleaded guilty to assaulting two female police constables on July 5.
He appeared before St Albans magistrates on July 19, but sentencing was delayed while a pre-sentence report was prepared.
Yesterday (October 3) he appeared again at St Albans Magistrates' Court, where he was handed the community order and fine.
Beaumont is also required to have treatment for alcohol dependency disorder.
