Nominations are now open for the 2025 One Welwyn Hatfield Community Awards.
The awards, in their second year, celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals, sports clubs, community organisations and businesses within the area.
Residents are encouraged to nominate those who have made a significant difference in the community by completing an online nomination form.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, December 13.
Councillor Jane Quinton, executive member for leisure and community, said: "We are very lucky in Welwyn Hatfield to have so many local heroes in our community.
"Their hard work is an inspiration to all of us and the One Welwyn Hatfield Community Awards are our opportunity to say 'thank you'.
"Last year’s awards ceremony was a real highlight.
"So please make sure you get your nominations in and I look forward to celebrating with the nominees and winners at the 2025 ceremony in February."
The categories for awards include the Mayor's Civic Award, which recognises long-standing community service, and the Welwyn Hatfield for All Award, which acknowledges exceptional cross-community work by an organisation or group.
Other categories include Community Sports Club of the Year, Young Sports Person of the Year, and Health and Wellbeing Champion of the Year.
There are also awards for Local Business of the Year, Community Culture Award, and Public Service Hero.
Volunteers are recognised in the Volunteer and Young Volunteer of the Year category, while young individuals who have demonstrated exceptional courage, leadership, or community spirit will be celebrated as the Inspirational Young Person of the Year.
The Voluntary and Community Sector Organisation of the Year category highlights organisations that have made a significant impact through their work in the community.
The Positive Change Award recognises individuals who have overcome personal challenges to achieve something life-changing.
Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, Councillor Frank Marsh, said: "These awards are all about celebrating the heart and soul of Welwyn Hatfield.
"From the arts to public service, environmental and volunteering efforts, we honour those who make our community vibrant and strong.
