Residents and visitors turned out for the annual Hatfield Community Day on Saturday - an event which celebrates the rich culture and diversity in the town. 

The town centre was abuzz with celebration at the event hosted by Hatfield Town Council in White Lion Square.

The event showcased a variety of live performances that kept the atmosphere lively throughout the day.

Hatfield Community Day 2024Hatfield Community Day 2024 (Image: Hatfield Town Council) Among the highlights were musical acts like the popular Rock Choir, Justyn the Sax Man, the uplifting Nissi Life Choir, and a DJ who kept the energy high between performances.

The entertainment didn’t stop there - costumed stilt walkers wandered through the square, adding a touch of spectacle and fun for all ages.

Hatfield Mayor Shirley AsareHatfield Mayor Shirley Asare (Image: Hatfield Town Council) The square was transformed into a hub of activity with arts and crafts stalls, food and drink offerings, in addition to the familiar presence of Hatfield Market, where traders came together to offer a wide range of items.

The event was also attended by the Mayor of Hatfield, Shirley Asare, Deputy Mayor Mick Wise, and leader of the council, Larry Crofton, all of whom were on hand to join in the festivities and meet with members of the community.
