Hello folks - I am so glad to be able to introduce myself to you.
I often feel sad and despondent when I see my feline friends leave Southridge for their new homes and lives and I still patiently await my forever family.
How long will I continue to be overlooked?
Well, hopefully when you have learned a little about me not for long, as I am a really gorgeous girl with a personality to match my smashing tortoiseshell looks.
I am young at only three years old, spayed and full of life and waiting for adventure.
I am a curious cat, super interested in the birds and action going on outside which I watch excitedly from a high up vantage point in my pen.
I love it when volunteers and staff come to visit me with new toys which I spend time investigating and checking out - all that enrichment is a lot of fun.
I do enjoy quite a bit of dozing time too and can be a little shy of strangers, but visits from familiar faces wakes me up and brings out my affectionate side, with roly polys and stretching out for cuddles, no one can resist such a sweet girl as me.
Oh yes and runs along the corridor chasing yummy treats is such a lot of fun.
Being a typical tortoiseshell cat, I can have "tortitude", putting up some boundaries with handling, but this does not stop me being a BIG favourite with the volunteers as my playful, fun personality wins everyone over.
As I love exploring I will need my own private garden which I can access through my own cat-flap door, in an adult only home.
I definitely need a dog-free home but might consider another feline companion.
Like so many of the animals at Southridge, life has not always been easy for me, so I hope now that you have read my story, you will feel able to open your heart and home to a sweet playful and fun-loving feline called Brinny.
So if you think you have the right home for me get in touch with Southridge - please!!!
