An actor who appeared in the hit Barbie movie is opening a new theatre school in Potters Bar.
Razzamataz Potters Bar, run by experienced performer Michael French and his casting director wife Felicity, will open at Mount Grace School on Thursday, September 19.
Michael appeared in the hit movie Barbie and the couple will be running the Potters Bar school alongside their Barnet school, which has been running for 12 years.
He said: "Growing up in Hertfordshire means that opening a theatre school in Potters Bar is particularly exciting as I get to bring what I have learned throughout my career back to an area that I know really well."
The school will offer classes for children aged 4 to 18 and will focus on "excellence in performing arts training alongside nurturing children and helping them to build life skills such as resilience and confidence."
Felicity French, casting director for Cameron Mackintosh, said: "We can’t wait to share with the young people of Potters Bar all that we do in the arts and to create a supportive community where we give them the tools to thrive."
The school will run every Thursday after school during term time and there will be a free taster session on September 19.
