A planning application has been submitted to build new homes in the village of Bell Bar.
The plans, submitted by Mr Daniel Brunt, would see three new homes built on the site of Swan Stables in Woodside Lane.
Despite Bell Bar being designated as a Green Belt village, the land proposed for the development is "designated as previously developed land or brownfield land", according to the planning application.
"The Swan Stables site is designated as previously developed land or brownfield land notwithstanding its Green Belt location, and with a minor extension to the approved plot encompassing the former menage and car park for the stables the site could accommodate three dwellings," the planning application reads.
"The proposal is at the same time considered to be in line with the government's emerging proposed reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework, which are recommended due to housing shortages.
"The site of Swan Stables in its entirety comprises approximately 2.5 acres of previously developed land consisting of land in equestrian use accessed from the west side of Woodside Lane, in the middle of Bell Bar village, a Green Belt settlement."
