A new Zombie Run Halloween event is set to take place in Welwyn Garden City.

The event will be held at Tewinbury Farm on November 1, and will be the first of its kind in the town.

Participants will embark on a five-kilometre mission through the grounds of Tewinbury Farm and the woods of Tewin, in search of five missing villagers.

However, they will have to beware of zombies who will be lurking in the shadows, attempting to stop them from completing their journey.

The event will be hosted by Titans Bootcamp, a fitness business located at Tewinbury Farm.

A spokesman for Titans Bootcamp said: "Brace yourselves for a thrilling, spine-chilling experience this autumn.

"Five of your fellow villagers have gone missing, you must set off into the night to rescue them - but be prepared, there have been sightings of some unusual strangers in the woods around you.

"Along the way, zombies will lurk in the shadows, attempting to stop them from completing their journey.

"Players will need to use teamwork and quick thinking to outsmart these ghoulish obstacles and make it to the finish line.

"Run, jog or march, but get ready for some surprises."
