The founder of a children's charity has been named as The Galleria's new Hatfield Hero.
Angela Gaughan founded award-winning charity Potential Kids in 2017, which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, their parents, carers, siblings and families.
The charity has been recognised for its contribution within the community and were awarded the Kings Award for Voluntary Service 2023.
Potential Kids has now been named as The Galleria's latest Hatfield Hero, which has been launched to recognise individuals that are doing their bit in the community towards a more sustainable future, in line with the centre’s sustainability goals.
"We love working with the local community and watching our children interact with others, improving their social skills and confidence, whilst being in a safe inclusive space. We are thrilled to be able to offer these activities and they have certainly helped my son," said Angela.
Tim Stirling, centre director at The Galleria added: "Angela’s work has had an amazing impact on the local community.
"The garden which has been developed at The Galleria, teaches children about growing their own fresh produce which is really important towards a more sustainable future."
